To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Aakash Odedra Company in 2021, the company is formalising Aakash’s work with some of his regular collaborators. Three dance artists, Gizem Aksu, Kesha Raithatha and Melissa Ugolini will all become Associate Artistic Directors.
Alongside Aakash, the first project the Associate Artistic Directors are working on together is the sell-out success. AO Global is ten week online workshop programme that’s attracted 90 participants from across the world.
We’re also delighted to announce our Associate Artist programme working with individuals from a range of backgrounds. The first is celebrated photographer and filmmaker Nirvair Singh. The company has a long history with Nirvair and his first commission in this new role will be the creation of a documentary charting the development of the company over the past decade.
Nirvair is also working on the internationally successful AO Global programme alongside Aakash, aiding our participants enhance their digital practice.
