We are delighted to be taking part in this year’s Battery Dance Festival. New York City’s longest-running free public dance festival is available to view online this year.
Aakash Odedra and Hu Shenyuan perform as part of the India Independence Day programme on Sat 15 August. Tune in to experience a three minute version of our new work Samsara, commissioned by Bagri Foundation.
Each year, the Festival draws a combined audience of over 12,000 people and with this year’s virtual festival it’s expected to reach even more.
Alongside our performance you can also see Aakash’s long time collaborator Aditi Mangaldas perform Amorphous – The Zero Moment. Aditi and Aakash have recently been working together to create a series of workshops for dance professionals and scholars. Across_Dance takes place in September, learn more about how to challenge your kathak or contemporary dance practice.
