This statement is for Shiamak UK students.
Following the Government’s latest advice, Shiamak UK have decided to cancel the remaining Spring term classes in order to protect the health and wellbeing of our participants and staff. As previously stated this will include the postponement of the Bollywood Rocks event on the 29 March.
All students will receive the option for a full refund for these cancelled classes and we will be in touch to confirm our refund arrangements in due course.
We understand that this is a difficult time for you, and as a not for profit organisation, it is for us too. Some of you may choose to offer the value of your outstanding Spring classes as a donation so we can continue to support our community, especially the older people we engage with and provide secure employment to our dedicated staff. We completely understand that for some this will not be possible, and there is no expectation from us to do so, but we appreciate the support of those who are able.
Please do continue to check back here and on our social media channels for updates. We will continue to take guidance from Public Health England and the Government; and we shall be in touch about our Summer term and Summer Funk performance when we can confirm our future plans.
We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
We wish everyone the very best for the difficult weeks ahead. At this time of change and social isolation we are working on ways to maintain the community and spirit of our Bollywood classes in a safe environment so stay tuned.
Best wishes from the Shiamak UK team
