Nisha Popat is a leader with 30+ years’ experience across cultural, heritage, business, and community sectors. She co-founded the UK South Asian Digital Archive, creating a national platform to preserve and celebrate UK South Asian heritage. Alongside her work in culture, Nisha runs a restaurant with her husband, blending entrepreneurship with community engagement.
Through her consultancy, POP Consultancy, she delivers business plans, feasibility studies, and training. She has lead major projects with impact beyond Leicester, covering a wide range of cultural and heritage initiatives. Nisha chairs the Belgrave Business Association, directs projects with Navrang Arts, and serves on boards including New Art Exchange and Art Reach. She brings vision, experience, and deep community insight to the Board of Aakash Odedra Company.
