Lighting Designer: Songs of the Bulbul, Mehek, Echoes, I Imagine & Inked
Born in Rome, Fabiana trained as a dancer and studied a degree in Philosophy before moving into the world of technical theatre. In 2005, she joined Akram Khan Company as Technical Director and Lighting Designer, touring the company works worldwide until 2013, when she started her freelance career. Since then, she has collaborated with internationally renowned artists and institutions such as Aakash Odedra, Romeo Castellucci, Katie Mitchell, Guy Cassiers, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Damien Jalet, Gregory Maqoma, Rambert Dance Company, Aterballetto, English National Ballet, Ballets of Montecarlo, Paris Opera Ballet, Teatro alla Scala, Royal Opera House, Comédie Française, amongst others.
Fabiana is still busy designing for dance, theatre, opera and concerts, and since beginning her freelance career, has received three Knight of Illumination awards, two for Dance (2013,2017) and one for Opera (2018).
