Little Journey
Company production | 2026
Aakash Odedra Company present Little Journey, a dance theatre show for everyone age 9+, families and schools.
Step through a doorway of imagination into A Little Journey; a world where dance, colour, and music spark magic at every turn,
Two friends set out on a quest across lands of wonder, overcoming challenges, discovering courage, and learning that friendship, belief, and curiosity can light even the darkest path.
Choreographed by Aakash Odedra and brought to life through the playful artistry of Subhash Viman Gorania and Po-Nien Wang, the performance blends contemporary dance with classical Indian and Chinese movement, animated by bursts of music and visual storytelling.
Every gesture, leap, and swirl speaks of resilience, unity, and the joy of discovery. At its heart, Little Journey reminds young audiences that anyone can be a friend. Though the two friends come from different places and look different from one another, they learn that friendship isn’t about being the same, but about listening, sharing, and supporting each other. Working together becomes the key to moving forward; and what makes the journey truly special.
A timeless and enchanting adventure, Little Journey invites audiences young and old to dream, wonder, and be carried away on a journey of the heart, where imaginations take flight and worlds meet in harmony.
This production is a children’s adaptation of the acclaimed touring work Samsara, described by The Wee Review as “a piece of unparalleled beauty,” with further praise from The Guardian, The Times, and The Sydney Morning Herald
