Lucy Phillips

Based in Leicester, Lucy has over thirty years’ experience in the arts and voluntary sectors, leading projects, building mutually beneficial relationships and generally making things happen.

She was Director of Leicester Print Workshop from 2008 – 2017, relocating the Midlands Centre for Printmaking, to a purpose built, award winning building, which led to LPW being shortlisted for the RIBA National Client of the Year. Between 2017 and 2020 Lucy returned to education to study part time for an MA Arts, where she looked at the role of artists and audiences in creating and interpreting art. This brought her face to face with Aakash Odedra, who provided valuable insight and experience to support her research.

Lucy has had a freelance practice as a development consultant since 2004, supporting organisations as they make plans and raise funds. She currently manages cultural sector partnerships at Nottingham Trent University. Lucy also acts as a mentor and advisor and is always keen to work with others to find new ways around problems.
